Applications must be completed on the current form and must have been received by mail on October 31 or before October 31. Scholarships will be awarded in January. As trade unionists, mutual respect, cooperation and understanding are our goals. We must not tolerate or tolerate behaviour that undermines an individual`s dignity or self-esteem or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment. CUPE NB offers six scholarships worth $500 each for students. Schooling is available each year to participate full-time in a post-secondary institution, university or community college. Discrimination and harassment focus on characteristics that set us apart; and reduce our ability to work together on common causes such as decent wages, safe working conditions and justice in the workplace, in society and in our union. CUPE`s policies and practices must reflect our commitment to equal rights. Members, staff and elected officials must be aware that all human beings deserve dignity, equality and respect.

Discriminatory, racist, sexist, transphobic or homophobic words or behaviour hurt and divide us. This also applies to discrimination based on skills, age, class, religion, language and ethnic origin.
